Online business growth could see increased demand for document management

A leading industry research company has revealed a list of what it believes will be the fastest growing business sectors in 2012.

Analysts at IBISWorld have tipped a number of segments that are likely to experience a boom in business, as well as a short collection of industries that could suffer in the face of inclement market conditions.

In the positive zone, firms involved in providing online education and retail were shown to be likely to enjoy a strong season.

Both of these sectors are linked through their digital medium - the internet - which is becoming increasingly ubiquitous as consumers recognise the value it represents.

For educational providers, an increase in students could see a projected 10.6 per cent rise in income - while online retailers are expected to receive an additional 10.2 per cent in revenue over the next 12 months.

Researchers have identified the market driver of these industries to be "the continued uptake of high-speed internet services" and "consumers becoming more comfortable" in the online space.

Of course, new customer levels bring with it increased document management requirements, as more information needs to be produced and stored in a way that allows for easy dissemination.
