New business owners gain support from Queensland government workshops

Entrepreneurs and new business owners in Queensland are set to receive additional support from the state government in the form of special workshops and seminars.

These initiatives are designed to give enterprises the best possible chance of success by providing important information on a number of key activities.

According to the Queensland minister for small business Jan Jarrat, the workshops will include advice on "planning, legislative requirements, market analysis, professional advice and assistance, and budgeting".

Jarrat explained: "The Considering A Business seminar has been specifically designed to help businesses kickstart their commercial journeys.

"It's a sad fact many new small businesses fail at the first hurdle because operators are not armed with the information they need to make the best informed decisions."

The minister continued to say that poor financial management, lack of experience and ineffective recordkeeping activities were common reasons for a new enterprise to fail.

These seminars are designed to provide increased access to qualified advice on the best way to set up internal business systems to allow for a smooth management experience.

Smaller firms lacking the IT resources of their larger competition may find that cloud storage gives them the flexible, scalable solution they need to deliver improved solutions to their client base.
